Prefilled Syringe Storage Case Size Guide: 7 vs 11 Slots
Layered Vault offers three dedicated syringe-slot layouts: a seven-slot weekly case, an eleven-slot syringe case, and a seven-syringe organizer with five vial slots and space for wipes. Choose by the full capped syringe length, physical capacity and extra compartments you need—not slot count alone.
Compare the syringe case sizes
| Case | Syringe fit listed | External dimensions listed | Main difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7-slot weekly syringe case | Seven 1ml syringes, up to 180mm long | 7.5 × 4.5 × 1 inches; approximately 190 × 115 × 25mm | Numbered 1–7 and MON–SUN slots; sliding lid |
| 11-slot syringe case | Eleven 1ml syringes, up to 120mm long | 7.5 × 6 × 1.25 inches; approximately 190 × 150 × 30mm | More individual syringe slots without day labels |
| 7-syringe, 5-vial and wipe case | Seven 1ml syringes, up to 120mm long | 7.5 × 6 × 1.25 inches | Five approximately 17mm diameter × 38mm tall vial slots plus a wipe compartment |
Dimensions are taken from the current product descriptions; inch and millimeter measurements are approximate. Check the selected listing before ordering and ask us about a specific syringe if you are unsure of its fit.
Measure the entire capped syringe
The 1ml marking describes barrel capacity, not overall length or shape. Different brands, needle attachments, caps and plunger positions can change the space a syringe occupies. Measure from end to end with its cap and attachments in the exact configuration you intend to store, including any protruding plunger.
Compare barrel and finger-flange shape too. A length below the published limit does not by itself guarantee compatibility with every syringe design. If fit is uncertain, send Layered Vault the measurements and syringe model before buying.
Choose the weekly case for labeled positions
The seven-slot weekly case gives each position a number and day label. It is the narrower option in this comparison and lists support for syringes up to 180mm long. Choose it when labels and a sliding lid are useful to your storage setup. Labels are an organization aid, not a dosing instruction or a record that a dose was taken.
Choose the eleven-slot case for more individual slots
The eleven-slot case provides more syringe positions and lists a shorter 120mm maximum syringe length. Eleven slots describe storage capacity; they do not establish how far ahead a medication can be prepared or stored. Compare its footprint with your available drawer or shelf before choosing it over the narrower weekly case.
Choose the mixed case when vials and wipes need a place too
The seven-syringe and five-vial organizer combines dedicated syringe slots with small round vial positions and a wipe compartment. Choose it when you want those supplies in one case rather than separate organizers. Check vial diameter and total height with our vial case measurement guide.
Need larger vials or an open accessory compartment instead? Browse mixed vial and syringe cases. An open compartment and dedicated individual syringe slots are different layouts; verify the one you need on the product page.
Match the case to its storage location
Measure usable shelf or drawer width, depth and height, allowing space to remove the case or operate the lid. These cases organize supplies but provide no active cooling. Store medication only as directed by its manufacturer or pharmacy.
Do not use this comparison as guidance to prefill syringes or choose a preparation interval. Whether a medication can be kept in a syringe, for how long and under what conditions depends on the medication and your pharmacy or clinician's instructions. These organizers do not sterilize supplies, extend shelf life or replace a sharps container.
All three listings are for empty storage cases; demonstration syringes, vials and wipes are not included. Compare the prefilled syringe storage collection to select your layout.
